Job Description
We are looking for:
An entrepreneurial and result-driven attorney to help building the existing Fintech practice and positioning Finnick as the preferred supplier for legal and regulatory advice to FinTech companies.
Responsibilities
- Advising FinTech companies on compliance with financial laws and regulations.
- Preparing and supervising license applications with DNB and AFM.
- Advising on the development of financial products and services and preparing client documentation.
- Supporting clients in contract negotiations and partnerships/collaboration with other (financial) parties.
- Building out the payments practice and establishing a crypto and blockchain practice.
Competencies
General skills
- A completed Master degree in Dutch law.
- At least 3.5 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house counsel at a financial institution or regulator.
- Thorough knowledge of financial laws and regulation. Knowledge of blockchain and crypto and the AVG is a plus.
- Experience with advising FinTech companies and financial institutions. Experience with Risk & Compliance (e.g. as a Compliance Officer) is a plus.
- Experience with licensing procedures and maintaining contacts with regulators.
- Being able to translate laws and regulations into practical policies and procedures.

- Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
- By thinking creatively and analytically, you are able to find solutions to legal challenges.
